Das The New Real Book Vol.1 beinhaltet eine super Auswahl der wichtigsten Jazzstandards. All of me steht dort als erstes Stück, Yesterdays ist als das letzte Stück aufgeführt. Die harmonische Struktur der Stücke ist sehr sinnvoll und wahrscheinlich den Originalen sehr ähnlich.

Keine merkwürdigen Reharmonisationen werden in diesem Buch angewendet, die für viele Stücke vielleicht hip klingen mögen, jedoch zum lernen des Stücks erst einmal unwichtig sind. Mir gefällt auch sehr das Notenbild des Buches. Folgende Klassiker sind in dem Buch ebenfalls vertreten: Autumn Leaves, Misty, There will never be another you, Beautiful love, Skylark, All the things you are.
