The Boss Gigcaster5 combines multiple devices - a professional audio interface with 32-bit floating-point processing and 48kHz sampling rate, an eight-channel audio mixer, a high-quality multi-effects section for guitar and bass, a toolbox for mixing and mastering, four headphone amplifiers, and more besides. Boss has also consciously designed the Gigcaster8 for both stationary and mobile use, which is why it can serve as an entirely stand-alone device and controlled via the buttons and faders on its control interface as well as via the high-res touchscreen.
