LTD EC256

Well I didnt know what to expect to be honest. For the price I just wanted a cheap single cut to mess around at home with, I guessed I would be facing some high or sharp frets, Maybe some bad electronics, but nope. Flawless. The fit and finish is flawless, the sound is just as good as any high end single cut worth 5 times the price. Binding, fret board, paint and lacquer, Bridge, machine heads, flawless. I am totally stunned. Put new string on, Quick set up and so far I now have the lowest action of all my guitars without any fret buzz or choking out. And I own 3 Gibson Les Paul's. So that says something.
Extra thanks for such quick delivery from Thomann and good job LTD! Ill take 5 more of these any day :)

A lot of bang for your buck!
Stipe86 21.01.2022
Cheap, LP shape with a bit muddy humbuckers, but with coil split and tone knob you can get a lot of different sounds. Playable out the box, but the nut could be better. Tuners are ok but i would recommend locking ones, a new nut or some "nut sauce". Finish is awesome but there are some tiny blemishes on my guitar. The trim is not sharp on two parts on the headstock. You can't see it from half a meter away so it doesn't matter.
Maybe it seems harsh, but in reality, this guitar is king in this price range. Looks, sounds, playability... For this money a no brainer. A perfect guitar for beginners and intermediate players. Also an awesome modding base. Would buy again.

AK
My first LTD
Artem Kudryavtsev 01.06.2021
I already have an electric guitar, it's Epiphone Les Paul Standard. It's great guitar and I like it.
I play in a band and we use Standard D tuning.
But I also wanted to play music in Standard E/Drop D tunings, so I needed another guitar. And my final decision was this beautiful ESP LTD EC-256.
Because it has a split coil, I thought that I will use it for Standard E/Drop D, but my guitar luthier said, that it would be better to set LTD to Standard D and Epiphone to Standard E.
So I accepted it, and now I play on the LTD in my band.
In comparison with the Epiphone, the LTD is 1 kg lighter, 1 cm thinner, so it is more comfortable to play while you stand.
The LTD's neck is thicker.
The LTD is made in Indonesia, my Epiphone is made in China.
As for me, both guitars sound pretty the same. The sound is good, but maybe I'll change pickups (on the Epi too), and my guitar luthier also said this.
Also he said that guitar is good, it has better bridge, but tuners are better on the Epi (it has Grover tuners). And he likes the Epi more, because it sounds more like a Gibson.
As for me, I also like the Epi more, but the LTD is also great.
The LTD has more metal shape:) The Epiphone is more classic.

A
Best guitar I've ever owned :)
Anonymous 25.11.2022
Throughout my short musical journey of 10+ years I've had many guitars, but this one right here stands out - in fact, it's the only one I've kept around for so long and cared for. Considering its price, you get a really good quality and feel - it's really easy to play, sort of allows me to enter the flow state when I have it in my hands. I also like the weight of it, it's balanced - not too heavy to make you shoulders hurt and not too light if you want to swing it around. The sound is very warm and there is a switch that presents with an opportunity to focus on different pickups, which have their own unique sound. On top of it all, the look - after almost 5 years of owning it, I still panic every time when I bump it into something, because it would be a pity to scratch it.
After all this time, I'm still very satisfied with this guitar :)
