I love it!

I have this Strat for 3 months now, and I feel like I can write a decent review as I own and previously owned quite a few fenders.

Executive brief: it is playable, attractive and most of all it sounds amazing. I therefore grew to really love this piece.

Pickups & sound - absolutely amazing. These are the "hot" ones, and I find their sound divine. They sound great in clean, but if you add in a bit of dirt they really shine. You really get the straty sound with them.
S-1 switching is super fun and adds in some extra tonal variations (I rarely use my Tele now).

Body - perfect. The burgundy mist is absolutely stunning and received tons of compliments already. Finish was spotless, hardware is well built. Tuning machines are vintage-style, which I always found to allow good tuning stability, and the same goes in this case.

Neck - the modern C shape is extremely comfortable and super playable. I was personally disappointed when Fender introduced the “deep C” neck on the American Pro series, as I really grew to cherish and appreciate the “modern C” they previously used on their “American standards”. If you are like me, this is a safe bet for comfort.
The satin finish on the back is a big bonus for me, that enhance playability. The maple on the back is a bit darker than usual, complementing so nicely with the burgundy mist colour.

Cons: neck edges are rather sharp compared to MIA models. That makes it an issue with the high E string, which could have been better positioned. Wasn't that well setup out of the box, and I had to do some trust-rod adjustment and lower the action.

Final summary: yes, the neck could have benefited from some additional attention and extra man-hours into it. Yet, I feel that in this price range, compared to what you get, this is a wonderful Strat that provides a lot for your buck. It's a reliable work tool that I would definitely feel comfortable gigging with.
Previously owning two Mexican Strats, this one really topped my expectations and I would warmly recommend it.
