So that is why Joe Alessi uses this Griego mouthpiece!

As i always say - mouthpieces are very personal, and every person has a different mouth! What suits one person will not necessarily suit another, even if they use an identical mouthpiece and instrument. I play on a yamaha xeno 881g and find that the 1c is a very solid mouthpiece that gives a fantastic and very distinctive round tone (feels great on the lips) lovely easy playing open high register (lets the air flow through) It holds the same round and open tone throughout the whole range. After just playing the first few notes on it, i realised this mouthpiece had that special something (tone wise) i had been looking for, and the more i play on it the more i like it. I'm not saying that anyone playing on this mouthpiece will sound exactly like the great Joe alessi (his perfect tone!) "impossible!" but if this mouthpiece suits the player it will really enhance what the player already has, and open up new possibilities to explore! I will also be trying the Griego Alessi 1a and 1e in the future (for different settings) as my trombone has a fixed leadpipe! Thank you Griego and thank you Thomann.

Bien trop large pour un trombone tenor
Anonymous 19.12.2016
