Great strat from Harley Benton!
JonathanKoh 26.04.2019
I bought this guitar basically to try out different pickups. I was hoping that the stock pickups would change my mind. But sadly no, they were kinda of thin sounding to my individual taste, Guitar is not shielded so be prepared for noise and hum.
I took off the anodised pickguard as it was picking up some static. Change the pickguard to a Harley Benton Parts Pickguard SSS Parchment A.
I think the guitar is worth getting as the workmanship and hardware are up to par. No sharp frets..intonation is well done although the tremolo bridge is set up as a non floating bridge.
If you can live with the sound of the pickups then you will thoroughly enjoy it without spending any more money.
My review of this guitar is @ my youtube channel

B
Great guitar at a great price!
Blandrys 25.10.2019
My third Harley Benton guitar and, as with all the others, I'm ultimately extremely happy with it. It's a drop dead gorgeous guitar in my opinion, kinda like a golden milkshake type vibe. Aesthetically there is little to complain about. The fret board has one small dark 2cm streak in what is otherwise a uniformly light brown color but, while taking away from "perfection", it doesn't really bother me at all. The frets themselves were adequately polished but there was one single fret that had a slightly pointy end-edge. a tiny bit of polishing with grit paper took care of it feel wise but it left a slight discoloration where I had polished. No biggie.

As is not unusual with HB guitars, the strings mounted on the instrument when shipped were a bit rusty, but I had ordered spares. Intonation was perfect out-of-the-box but the action overall was not properly adjusted, resulting in a lot of rustling sounds especially on the thinner strings. Simply raising all individual strings at the base (using the tool that came with the guitar) to the max was still not enough so I ended up having to play with the truss rod adjustment as well, again with a hexagonal spanner that came shipped with the guitar. This was the first time ever that I performed this kind of adjustment myself (trussrod/action) and while I think a real luthier could do a better job, I at least I got it to the point where the action is acceptable to me. It would have been nice if this had been done before shipping it out and this issue is the primary reason why I only give four stars on quality and not five.

At first I thought there must be something wrong with the output of the electronics in the guitar, because the amp (bought with the guitar) was producing a terrible high pitched whine nearly all the time. Eventually I realized that the noise came from the refrigerator located in the same room, and unplugging this instantly eliminated the annoying whine.

So yea, all in all, very happy, would buy again and I play it every day! Now time to start saving up for a Les Paul copy :)

Final update: been playing this pretty much every day for over two years and one thing I can't help but notice is that the neck has shrunk ever so slightly. As a result all the frets are now a little bit too wide and especially towards the body they protrude noticeably resulting in the skin on my hands getting torn a bit when I handle the guitar. Also the high E often gets stuck under a fret. Will try to file them all down at some point, hopefully I can do it without ruining the finish too much. Apart from this I still love the guitar and would buy again.

Beautiful orange gold strat
Yellow Goldie 27.03.2023
I initially picked Harley Benton ST-62DLX VW because it was so unique in color and features and BEAUTIFUL that I had to give it a try. The guitar was priced so gently, I decided to give it a go as a 3 pc order to save on shipping. I already have a Fender strat that I love to play but I found of this strat with the Roswell pick ups, also had a very unique sound that I use to record alongside my Fender to give me a more complete and feeling sound. It also works very well with distortion In short, I have 3 Harley Benton guitars and each one has been a new learning experience for me. The roasted maple neck and smooth body gave me comfort where I didn’t realize it was needed and that helps me play differently and be more creative than on my other guitars.

Decent first guitar for a student.
Steven2428 02.04.2022
I purchased this guitar for my daughter, it was her first real electric guitar. It's not bad for the money, but I find that it leaves me wanting a little bit more. However I think it's a decent platform for upgrades or modding, which we will probably do in the future. But as it is, her playing has outgrown it and we are getting her an upgrade.

Over the Harley Benton guitars are great value for the money. I have several other Harley Benton's that I love, and they hold their own with more expensive instruments. However, these were more expensive models.

A great Stratocaster copy that doesn't break the wallet
Mr.Gandalf 21.01.2021
The Harley Benton ST-62DLX VW Vintage Series, as the name implies "deluxe" there are features on this guitar that are quite better than the other cheaper Harley Benton St models. The guitar arrived very well packed and was playable right out of the box, of course only after tuning it. Despite the inexpensive price of 177 Euro, this guitar can compete with more expensive guitars from other brands without any problems. Of course there are Pro’s and as well as Con’s that I will list.

Pros:

- Flawless finish, the guitar tends to be a yellowish cream and the gold plate is just a superb feature, it really makes the guitar shine from a distance;
- Amazing Neck (at least for me), I know that some people might say the neck is rather chunky, but I think it feels amazing , especially if you enjoy playing guitars like Lp’s. The neck is my favorite feature of this guitar;
- Great Frets- previous experience with An Sc custom II and a DC 600 IV have let me a bit disappointed because of the frets that required extra work, but not on this one. The Harley Benton ST-62DLX VW Vintage Series comes with medium jumbo frets and are great for bending!
- Overall balanced feeling in relation with guitar body and neck;

Cons:

- The bridge is not my favorite part of this guitar, I would have rather preferred a 2 pivot style floating tremolo. I would also like to add that the guitar came with “fixed bridge setting, and using the tremolo arm was only possible after tweaking the springs”.
- Pickups, this is debatable because I have only played humbucker style guitars until I got this, but I think the pickups on this Harley Benton ST-62DLX VW Vintage Series could be better.
- Hardware , since the guitar is labeled as a deluxe I think they should put more attention into the hardware department, things like better bridge and good tuning keys. I will most likely change the tuners and the nut ion the following week to come.

The nut is alright, but I already bought a Graph Tech Nut for St-Style to exchange it, new Gotoh SD91-05M Tuners 6L , and Göldo Roller String Tree. I will keep the bridge as long as I can but I will be looking forward to upgrade to a Wilkinson or some sorts.

That being said my verdict is this, IT IS A GOOD GUITAR OUT OF THE BOX! If you are somebody that plays only at home than you might not need all this upgrades, but I tend to use it an extensive manner and maybe to record parts with it. I would suggest Harley Benton takes into consideration my observation and upgrades to a 2 point bridge, better tuning keys, and of course pickups. I would gladly pay more just to have this features on this guitar right out of the box.

PS
Amazing for the price!
Parker Susong 02.07.2023
Before I found out about Harley Benton I was looking to buy a beginner electric guitar from some more well known “name brand” companies. Then a good friend of mine told me that I shouldn’t waste all my money on an ridiculously expensive name brand beginner guitar and just get a Harley Benton since they’re a third of the price and just as good quality-wise. I was obviously skeptical at first but I bought it and from the moment I first held it, I was in love. No purchase has ever felt as good as that. Obviously it’s not a perfect super high end guitar but the reason it’s worth it is because of how affordable and well made it is. I highly recommend these guitars for any range of players, and can’t wait to get my next one!

RP
A beautiful guitar at a fantastic price.
Robert Peterson 08.11.2020
I was hesitant to purchase this guitar since the price was so low. I was expecting a poorly made guitar that I'd need 2 hours of setup to get to an even playable state. It turns out all I needed to do was tune it, since it had been in the back of a truck on the cold morning of delivery. The neck is fantastic, with no extra fretwork needed. The setup out of the box was great and all the electronics work with no scratchiness or noise. This is a great-quality instrument for a low, low price. My only gripe is that the volume control is a bit stiff to turn, so one-finger "roll-offs" aren't exactly comfortable.

The colours and brushed-metal finish look even better in-person than any photos could do justice...simply a beautiful guitar.

So glad I bought this.

sooo verdict:
i would buy it anytime again and recommend it to anyone who want to test their skills... cos good music isnt made out of gear alone but more from ur skills to play and ur timing....
