K&M 16310

This item is designed to hold your headphones neatly and securely on your wall. This should avoid them being damaged or mislaid. This particular K & M hanger is very stylish looking and feels robust when in place. The product information says that it will hold two headphones and indeed this may be true - but I would add that it depends on your headphones!

I have used this to hang 2 AKG sets which have wide head bands. They do indeed fit on the hanger, but for headphones with such wide bands - it is a little crowded. If your headphones have narrow head bands, then this should not be an issue. There is also a little hook like ending on the hanger so one can thread the HP cable through that, to avoid it flopping in an unsightly manner on to the floor.

I will probably buy some more of these to accommodate all my headphones - and I would certainly recommend it as an ergonomic means of storing away your valuable headphones. I have often thought that this item could also be used to hang various types of cable, if one wanted to do that.

It does not come with any screws or wall attachments so be prepared to provide those yourself.

As with all K&M products this is an excellent item. Very good quality and comes with the mounting plate and holder. Even comes with a spanner for the mounting nut which has a nice feature of a plastic dome to cover it up once it has been fitted. The holder is wide and will fit normal large size headphones or earbuds.

I swapped the nylock mounting nut for a wingnut and mounted this to the side of my portable DJ booth. This worked well but the thread of the fixing bolt was sticking out. I decided to replace this with a longer bolt and wingnut and just remove it, leaving the mounting plate screwed to the booth using its four separate fixing holes.

This might seem like a bit of an overkill but the advantages are keeping the cans in one place and keeps the ear cushions away from dirt.
