Enjoyable Instrument

Before I start describing the overall experience, I would like to say the price for this instrument and what it offers stays UNBEATEN. I’ve had many “cheaper” basses but this one absolutely blew my mind with one thing; it’s versatility and adaptability. Options are basically endless, starting with 2 ways of putting your strings though it to passive/active pickups.
It was a bit harder for some reason to set it up but once I’ve got that it was an absolute joyride.

Very nice but

Pros:
Neck edges are very good and comfortable to play.

Bass sounds and plays great, some minor tweaks required for my preference but excellent out of the box, however......

Cons:
Tuning posts need some thought though as they are waisted and have a lip at the bottom preventing the string to get the best angle over the nut causing rattling on the E string when played energetically. The first 3 strings have a clamp to hold them down so not a problem for them.

A leaflet with some instruction on the functionality of the active tone controls would be beneficial didn't find anything in the box.

Some electrical buzz in passive and active mode when tone is set to high treble.

Lucky ???? 22.01.2022
Beautiful bass, Sound, Feel and finish!!!
I ordered bass and mailed to America,
So happy. However the person
Who pack bass did a poor job
It made without damage. I don’t know how , pure luck . Everything else about Thomann Five Star ⭐️.

I play bass for more than 20 years. In this period, I had several instruments, including short scale. I bought Marcus Miller V3 after a thorough resaearch in the internet - based on tons of reviews and comments of happy users. Now, I can say it is worth much more than it is priced for. After I received a pack from Thomann, I made a tiny adjustment of the bridge only to get a lower, more comfortable string action (I must say that originally the guitar was set pretty well). Intonation was set perfect - nothing needed to be corrected. Regarding the sound, the instrument offers a wide range of tones, even in a passive mode. As for the look, the finish is great - I have no claims.
If one asked me what I liked the most in the first touch, I would say it was the neck because it is very comfortable and fast.
I can really recommend this instrument.
