Habe mir die motu zugelegt da ich bei meinem AD Wandler keine USB Übertragung habe und irgendwie musste ich gewährleisten das ich das Audio Signal in den Rechner bekomme. Die MOTU 8D ist genau das perfekte Werkzeug dafür! Über AES/EBU von der ADC raus und direkt in die Motu 8D und von dort weiter über usb!

Würde ich sofort wieder kaufen. Fantastisches Produkt!

Un appareil dédié à la sélection des sources numériques comme un préamplificateur dans le domaine analogique, c’est une grande idée, avec les différents types de liaison (spdif, AES-EBU, Ethernet...) c’est extraordinaire, pouvant faire toutes les combinaisons entre les entrées et les sorties c’est simplement génial. Cependant avez vous besoin de ça ? Imaginer une matrice avec les entrées/sorties à choisir sur un ordinateur, imaginer les moments où une entrée n’est pas reconnue par MOTU et que vous devez la déconnecter pour la remettre en place avant de redémarrer le 8D, imaginer les taux d’échantillonnages qu’ils faut faire correspondre entre chaque album... c’est beaucoup de complexité et il faut vraiment avoir un vrai studio pour que ça vaille le coup. A cela s’ajoute un manuel non traduit en français.
Maintenant voyons l’autre critère important : le son. Comme toujours avec MOTU il est d’une grande transparence dans les timbres, beaucoup de détails, beaucoup de dynamisme et il y a vraiment rien à dire. Une écoute Audiophile. Une seule reproche à faire cependant : une fréquence d’échantillonnage qui s'arrête à 96 Khz alors qu’il y a tant de fichiers audio à 192 kHz.
En conclusion : appareil excellent mais d’un usage limité

Habe das 8D nun seit etwas mehr als einem Jahr regelmäßig im Einsatz. Tolles Digital-only Interface, das in meinem Fall primär unterwegs genutzt wird. Meist nutze ich AES/EBU (XLR) und dann noch die SPDIF, sofern mal mehr Kanäle benötigt werden.
Mit der Software kann man vieles einstellen, z. B. in einer Matrix die Ein- und Ausgänge routen. Ich nutze ASIO über USB, funktioniert alles wunderbar. Das Produzierte wird dann direkt über die Eingänge am PC aufgenommen - Wunderbar!
Das 8D könnte gerne aber auch ein kleines bisschen günstiger sein - Sein Geld ist es aber wert.
