Beautiful stand that works great with my Sennheiser HD 800 S
Adam W 05.07.2018
I purchased two different versions of this stand: this Mahogany version, as well as the Pro A version in silver.

First, let me talk about just this stand. It's beautifully well made with no flaws that I've seen. The color is rich and gorgeous, but mine doesn't have a strong reddish hue like the product photo has. Rather, it seems mostly like just a dark brown with a hint of red. It's also not as glossy as the image, but it does have a sheen to it. Still beautiful, but not quite like the pictures.

I bought this because I own a pair of Sennheiser HD 800 S, and when looking for a nice stand, I saw an image online with a pair on top of one of these stands. In person, this stand fits my headphones perfectly. It's like it was made for them.

Had I only ordered this wood stand, I'd recommend it without reservation. Well, I still do, but I have to say that I like the Pro version better. Why? It's heavier, thinner, and just looks better to me in person. I really thought that I'd like the wood better than the silver steel of the Pro version, but side by side, the metal wins for me.

I unpacked the Pro version first and used it for a couple of days before unpacking this one. When I first picked this Mahogany version up, it felt very lightweight because I was used to the steel version. This is a great stand, but the Pro version makes it feel cheap. The Pro version also costs a decent amount more, though. For the price, this is a five-star stand. For the extra cost of the Pro version, it's also a five-star stand. They are both fantastic.

I almost didn't order either one because of the cost of the stands and the shipping cost to the USA, but I'm extremely happy that I bought them. Thomann shipped my stands the next business day, and even though I live in the western part of the USA, and my stands arrived two days after they were shipped. Wonderful service, and fantastic stands.
