Great kit for the price!
Bovary Blumpkin 26.10.2022
I needed a travel kit for a busking tour I went on. My van cargo space which I was also sleeping in was 2x1.2 metres and this fit snugly inside it for the 3 months I went travelling

The kick sound suffers I think from the cut in the middle but still it sounds pretty great and when mic'd up gets a lovely punchy sound as you would expect from a 16 inch kick

The hardware is decent for the price point and the use of the kit is great. The soft cases are very little protection unfortunately but they do the job and the straps haven't broken yet.

I also bought the tama lightweight hardware and they make a fantastic pair. I recommend buying both if you're looking to downsize your overall loadout

Peace

Ein Schlagzeug wie eine Matrjoschka Puppe
TobiWineKenobi 06.04.2022

You can carry a three-piece set with one hand (just get the bags)
cargo bike drummer 25.06.2021
This kit is handy. The fact that you can pack the toms inside the bass drum gives this kit an edge over regular mini kits. Definitely get the bundle with bags so that you can benefit from this feature.

Overall the quality is good, considering the cheap price. The only negative thing that I can think of so far (after some practice and two gigs) is the no-nonsense way the bass drum has been halved. It’s been simply cut in two, and when you combine the pieces with the bass drum legs, they don’t necessarily fit so snugly. If there would be some kind of a rabbet/notch/groove, the joint would be tighter. Anyway, visually it is a minor issue, you won’t notice it from a distance. Whether the tighter fit would affect the sound, we’ll never know, but the bass drum sound is nice for such a small and inexpensive drum. The cymbal mount on the bass drum is a good feature, you just need to order a cymbal holder to be able to use that.
