Excellent value for money in a solid built container
Whitcliffe 29.01.2021
So i waited a bit before reviewing to see if anything came up - this soundcard is absolutely excellent. I've run through pretty much all of the competing cards in the similar price bracket which suffer from easily broken pots, dodgy jacks, cheap casings and other issues relating to recording quality with low latency. this has none of those issues, and is excellent as a pass through for live instruments and as a digital hub for your DAW. cannot recommend more.

L
Very helpful for recording rehearsal
LollosFloofy 02.06.2023
I am in a three piece band and we wanted to start recording our rehearsals to possibly make some kind of album or just to see where we were. We started using a 2 channel audio interface, but it almost immediately became appearant that we wouldn't get the sound we wanted, and so, i decided to look for a 4 channel audio interface so we could record 4 seperate tracks live, and then i found this.
Pros :
You can record 4 seperate tracks at once
The microphone pre-amp sounds pretty good
there's little to no "hum" present on the tracks
The outputs on the back make recording live much easier
the 2 headphone jacks are just very convenient
The software for the interface is very easy to use

Cons :
i honestly can't think of anything, this to me seems almost perfect

one thing i will note though is that the first time we used this, the first 2 tracks seemed to include tracks 3 and 4, almost like a digital sound bleed.
The second time, though, this did not happen at all. if i had to guess, it's because i didn't restart the computer after installing the software.

Overall, this has just made recording much easier and i see no reason not to buy this, especially at the price point.

M
It is very good!
Margus 15.09.2021
Arrived swiftly as always (Big thanks Thomann!!)
I bought it to replace my 10+ y.o USB mixer after it started to produce considerable hiss in my recordings. Every piece has its time.

Now the Tascam:
Beyond that it looks good, It is everything I wished for.
The unit is solid, pretty heavy for its size (which I always concider a good thing) It's pure metal, not aluminum, I think.

It is dead silent. I recorded two different keyboards with near peak gain, amplified silent sections +20dB and they stood silent. Absolutely no noise at all!

MIDI latency is almost non-existent. (I use Asio4All ver2 drivers)
For some reason Cubase 11 threw an error when loading Tascam's drivers (four stars) but as I'm used to using ASIO, I'm ok with that.
Works like a charm.

Bottom line:
I love it!

excellent rapport qualité prix
Emmanuel801 02.04.2022
