4. Types of lighting
Effect lighting
The surface which is exposed to light is of no consequence when scanners, disco lights and beam lighting are used, for example, since you are focusing on the effect of individual beams of light in space.
Decorative lighting
This type of lighting, in contrast, requires clean and even lighting of a surface. Even edges, continuous dimming and a homogeneous gradient are desirable. This is also true, of course, of spotlights used to illuminate light on people, stage sets or flat objects.
