The metal parts, screws and handle are all sturdy. It is great that it includes screws with special nuts for wood. The leather does feel cheap to the touch. It also seems to have a metal sheet in it for reinforcement. I would have prefered if the stitches didn't go as far out, leaving some more "give" for the hanlde to lay flat or raised.
