The Amphenol AX5MB XLR male is a solid plug. I use it in my Rack and it fits perfectly with the Amphenol AC5FDZ. The price is compared to other manufacturers cheaper without any loss of quality.
For me, plugs should grant two things.
Good solder ability and a solid case. The Amphenol plug fulfills it.
