If cost isn’t a major concern, Ape Labs lights are excellent in terms of build quality and reliability.
Expectations need to be realistic though: light output becomes impressive only when using multiple units — a small number won’t anchor a stage.
My main issue with Ape Labs is the ecosystem pricing. Several extras that are effectively necessary (controller, chargers, clamps, remote) are sold separately and add up quickly. That’s on me for not researching thoroughly, but it’s something buyers should be very aware of before committing.

The idea behind lightcan is brilliant, good design ,portability, no more cables, an app for smartphones (if you buy the bridging device which is costy) but i only wish the led was say 20% brighter. Also the colour mixing is not perfect because in any case you can see the "shadows" of other colours is the wall.I intend to use it only with the tubes for assistive decoration use
