The Bose Professional Control Space EX-440C is an audio processor built for conference settings, delivering high-quality microphone integration and outstanding signal processing, making it well-suited to small and medium-sized meeting rooms. On the rear panel, it offers four analogue line inputs for microphones and four analogue outputs, along with an AmpLink interface that provides four digital channels for uncompressed, low-latency transmission to Bose amplifiers. The device also supports VoIP, PSTN through an RJ-11 connection, and USB soft codecs, while its AEC function allows acoustic echo suppression on up to eight channels with optional, customisable noise reduction. The unit integrates smoothly into a 16x16 Dante network.
The Bose Professional Control Space EX-440C is especially easy to operate, with a front panel that includes only a single control element – a rotary knob with a push function that allows users to move through menus where every setting can be adjusted. A display to the left provides clear information about channel levels and network status, while the main menu gives access to configuration options for Dante inputs and outputs, local inputs and outputs, AmpLink for digitally connected Bose amplifiers, VoIP, telephone and USB settings, as well as broader network and standard parameters. On the rear panel, the unit offers four balanced inputs and outputs in 6-pin Euroblock format, two Dante network connections, a VoIP port, a telephone interface, an AmpLink output, and a dedicated control interface.
The compact Bose Professional Control Space EX-440C can act as the core of any conference installation, supporting successful meetings where high audio quality is essential, and with its single rack-unit size, it occupies minimal space in a standard 19" rack. It also offers flexible network connectivity, allowing integration into a Dante network, telephone access via the RJ-11 port, and video conferencing through the VoIP connection, with all settings adjustable either directly on the device or through an intuitive drag-and-drop interface in the ControlSpace Designer software, which can be run on a connected computer. Thanks to this adaptable functionality, the EX-440C can be tailored smoothly to virtually any conference scenario.
Bose Professional was established as an independent entity following its separation in 2023 from the Bose Corporation, a company best known for its consumer products. Today, Bose Professional is dedicated to developing sound systems that are straightforward in design, installation, and operation, serving live performance venues as well as commercial and conference environments. From workplaces and places of worship to universities, restaurants, retail stores, hotels, and event spaces of all kinds, Bose Pro systems are deployed across the globe. Decades of expertise have resulted not only in numerous innovations but, above all, in immensely practical and adaptable solutions.
A VoIP connection to the Bose Professional Control Space EX-440C can be established using an optional Cat 5 cable, plugged into the RJ-45 port positioned at the centre of the rear panel. All relavant settings can be adjusted in the VoIP menu, where users can choose between the Static mode or the DHCP protocol, which enables network configuration to be handled automatically by a server. Within this menu, the device's IP address, subnet mask and gateway address can be defined, with four address blocks available for selection. The MAC address, used to identify the audio processor and route data correctly, is fixed and cannot be modified.
