EE
Astonishing evenly-applied wash colour
ESP Event Management 23.09.2026
We run four of these for medical congress work and the headline for me is that there is genuinely no fan inside the housing — it's silent by construction, not by a quiet mode you switch to, which matters enormously when there are open lectern mics a few metres away. The asymmetric optic does exactly what it's supposed to: set it about a metre off the wall and it lifts a 6 m cyc evenly from top to bottom, with no hotspot at the base and no falloff at the top that you end up chasing in the desk. Colour is the real surprise at this price — it holds up on camera without correction and the spill stays clean on skin tones. At approx. 7 kg and under a metre long it's easy to handle solo, and at 180 W you can link several units on one 240 V circuit through the TRUE1 in/out, which saves a serious amount of distro on a long cyc. It takes Art-Net and sACN on its own RJ45 in and out (I haven't tested them yet), so you can feed it straight off the network without a node, and there's a four-zone pixel mode if you want segments rather than a flat wash. One tip from use: drive it on the calibrated CCT presets rather than raw RGB at full.
