Excellent sound.

The original EMG60 is already a very good neck pickup in my opinion, but not great. The new X-version adds more timbre, depth and clarity across all frequencies. It sounds more three-dimensional and the highs sound fresher. Due to the loud, yet uncompressed output the pickup is also surprisingly suitable to fingerpicking.
