I just wanted a cheap lap steel for the purpose of recording a specific song with a friend of mine. This one sounds great and looks good. It feels a little bit cheap and plastic compared to more expensive lap-steels, but overall it gives you great value for your money.

No experience with lap steel guitar. For a beginner the price is attractive. Quality is overall ok, but clearly it is cheaply built. Pickup sound is good.

Okay as a first lap steel.

To start with the negative, there is quality issues that tells you this must be made in Chine.
Next, but that is not the instrument fault, but there is no room to install a palm bender.
But I will still recommend it as for me it was the first lap steel, and I am learning to play lap steel very well with it. So as a beginner instrument it is okay to start with. I doubt a pro would look twice at it.
