Might not fit some 3rd party bodies or older strats
I bought a 3rd party body, hoping to fit this neck to it. Didn't work. The 3rd party body is built for a typical Fender neck, but although this is made by Fender, its heel profile is different, somewhat flatter, a cross between the classic rounded strat heel and the more squared Tele heel. It doesn't fit my 3rd party body, and neither does it fit an older strat I own. I needed to buy a Fender body just to get this neck to fit. And maybe that was the reason for this reprofiling, to make more $$$.
So while it is nicely made, someone with access to a lot of Strats (Thomann?) could possibly go through and determine which bodies suit which necks!

I was expecting a little darker roasted maple
As I said, the color is a little bit light for a roasted maple neck.
I also bought a lefty version of the same neck. The lefty one is very dark and rich, like a roasted maple. But this one is very bright. Almost like a regular maple neck.
Other than that, the quality and playability is very good.
I am pleased with the purchase.
