Bought it for my daughter's dance class. They are well made, carefully polished and sound pleasant. Would be great to have some kind of textile bag, but... highly recommend.

I am certainly not an expert so can't compare these really.
All I can say is that they sound fine for what I want to use them. Certainly much better than the plastic (mounted) castagnets my orchestra has.
