Must-have for all musicians
I was sick of being embarrassed when our drummer showed up at gigs asking the other bands for a lend of gear so I bought this to keep in my bass case for when he forgets his.
For that purpose this is a great choice. I don't play drums and can't comment on whether this clutch is any better or worse than any other - but at this reasonable price, and after using it at a few dozen shows so far I have no hesitation recommending this to anyone looking for a decently built clutch to use primarily or as an inexpensive spare to keep on hand for drummers and concerned bandmates alike.

Solid Clutch at a Great Price
If you've been around drum hardware for a while, then you know that Gibraltar makes some really well-build stuff. This hi-hat clutch is no exception.
I'm not a Gibraltar devotee, but I've never been disappointed by their stuff. I got this clutch as a replacement for one that came with a stand for the road. I wasn't expecting much with a $9 pricetag, but this little guy definitely holds up well under pressure. I've never had it slip on me in a set, and I've certainly let it hit the ground a few times.
Not much else to say. Great clutch to have on a kit.

Does the trick on a budget
Decent enough, but a bit flimsy. At this price, that is to be expected. The plastic nut probably will not last active screwing and un-screwing, so for more active use in studio or live situations, get something more professional-grade.

The best clutch I ever had
I bought this because many of the hardwares in the yamaha gigmaker drum kit I got as a gift was missing many hard wares. I chose this because of the brand and lo and behold, Its the best hi hat clutch I ever had. Usually I just buy generic hardwares. Now I know why brands do matter when it comes to buying drum hardwares. Its really well made and looks indestructible.

Pretty nice cheap clutch
This is the first clutch I've ever ordered for my drum set, and for what it's worth its pretty good! The whole thing has solid feel, the know tightens smoothly and holds the top hi-hat in place firmly. The dampeners are ok and do their job properly. I love it!

Saved me buying a new hi-hat
I use this on a vintage Pearl HH. In fairness to the stand it's around 50 years old so it owes nothing, but adding this clutch to it has extended it's life-span. Excellent piece of kit.

Good for the money
I got this hi-hat clutch for my electric drum kit, though I usually play with the hi-hat closed. It does the job decently, holding the hi-hats securely and allowing adjustments. Setup is easy, seems to hold on fine during playing. Not bad considering the price; does what it says on the tin.

Reliable Little Clutch
My old hi-hat clutch needed replacing, and Gibraltar never fail to disappoint. A simple and reliable clutch that does the job and lasts for years if kept well.

Good quality / Good price
I run a rehearsal rooms and we hire out clutches with our kits. Sadly they sometimes don't return!
I bought some more, these and the Sonor ones in the same price range.
I would say overall these are the better of the 2, based on feel and finish. They just feel like they'll last longer - but of course only time will tell!
This was actually my first issue with ordering from Thomann (after years and years) I ordered 3 and they only sent 1! I contacted them and initially was just getting "we're very busy right now, we'll get back when we can" emails... then after about a week I was contacted and they shipped out the missing 2. It was really easy to get the issue resolved and is another reason I keep coming back, even when it goes wrong it's never really any drama putting it right.
