Lives up to the hype.
I'm not a huge pickup aficionado, but I knew I wanted something loud and punchy, and this is very loud and very punchy.
I've had no problems with it in the several years I've owned it, and I've dropped it into a few different guitars and it's never come up short. Currently have it in my semi-acoustic, and the tone is brilliant.
My favourite feature is that it is incredibly quiet when not playing: no feedback, no hum, nothing.
My least favourite thing about it is that even with the volume rolled back all the way, there is still some slight noise when the strings are hit. This could just be dodgy wiring on my end.

Massive power, with lots of control
My first Dirty fingers was an original 70s/80s model in the bridge of a Gibson Les Paul, and I loved it. I recently decided to try a reissued model in the bridge of an Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro. I am pleased to say, it is every bit as good as the old models.
Firstly, it is a very hot pickup. Capable of driving any amp without turning the "fuzz" up too far in the preamp gain. It does respond very well to volume control though.
The tone is very "Gibson". A nice warm round crunch with lots of harmonic richness. Not a scooped as the 500t, but still capable of massive chunky crunch. It cleans up nicely with volume control to give a nice crunchy blues sound.
The highs are not as high as on the 500t, they are just as strong, but have more upper mid and less harsh presence. The lows are also tighter.
The pickup responds well to amp EQ for pretty much most music styles.
Overall, one of my favourite pickups.

The sound of Rock
It's loud, foul, soulful and dirty. It works extremely well with a down-tuned guitar. It seems like a lot of people prefer the original, but I don't. I actually sold an original 1978 Dirty Fingers to replace it a reissue - they have more bite, sound brighter (but not buzzy), and contrary to the old ones, these are wax potted. If you're looking for a warm, aggressive sounding pickup, or make your Gibson sound like a Gibson with more output, I can't recommend the Dirty Fingers enough.

Excellent pickup - though not for everyone
Pretty much summed up above.. If this is the kind of high-output pickup you are after, then look no further.
It's tone-shaping capability is exceptional; high output, good for heavy rock, dirty blues etc.
Although I have only used it as a neck pickup.

A seriously good pickup
One of the hottest pickups out there. Period.
This one is a monster! Excellent in any style of heavy music.
I was amazed by its clarity and definition while playing on lower gain as well

Gibson Dirty Fingers
This iconic humbucking pickup from the seventies, made by our friends at Gibson, brings all the sharp, aggressive punch while maintaining perfect clarity any rocker could ever ask for.
The Gibson Dirty Fingers pickup is best known for its high output, and therefore sounds best teamed up with an overdriven amp in my opinion. The clean sound is quite treble-ish and can sound a little harsh when playing ballads without using any effects. That being said, it's perfect for any Wild Western style cowboy riff/song.
When overdriven the sound is sharp and aggressive, but still thick enough to make any single string riff sound good.
Overall this pickup has a certain sound and soul to it, which in my opinion is best suited for good ol' Rock n' Roll!

Musthave!
I wanted new pickups for my guitar.
Than i saw this one.
99€ - Gibson?
And this pickups surprised me!
My guitar sounds warm in clean mode, and more aggressiv in Overdrive.
The Solo sounds very "Gibson".
The Case looks cool.
But i miss the contact plan!

Great sound!
One of the best pickups I've ever tried,
I use it in both treble and rhythm positions on my 2007 Gibson SG.
They give a very good versatile sound and suits well for my type of music - high-gain melodic punk.
It provides the clarity and tone i need for individual leads as well the noisy-yet-controlled distortion of fast rhythmic riffs.
No noise whatsoever unless intended.
It'll work well for rock n' roll with screaming mids a la Tube Screamer as well as in heaver metal and such.
Overall very good pickups!
