Design issues

Couldn't open it with my finger/nail. I used gold Gotoh tuners on my high-end bass guitar previously so I had belief in this brand but this battery compartment has some design issues IMO. Also, it is not flush flat when you close the lid. Also, it feels a little flimsy and feels like it will break easily. The two little screws inside the housing for mounting on the instrument body is a clever idea however as mentioned I would use some glue to secure it in addition to little screws.

It is good for 18v mods though, because you can place two of these side by side by the help of a narrow form factor.

Needs very careful installation

Like all these battery boxes, the plastic rim around the edge is very narrow, making the routing out of the cavity needing to be very accurate.

Perfect replacement for MIJ Jackson RR24

Ich hatte vor ca. 2 Jahren einen Lötunfall an dem Batteriefach meiner Gibson Les Paul Futura und benötigte dringend ein Ersatzteil, von Gibson dachte ich, dass aber auch gebraucht anscheinend nirgendwo zu bekommen war. Lange Geschichte und lange Suche aber schließlich wurde bei Thomann mit der Gotoh Battery Box 9V BB-02 alles gut. Passt 1:1 wie das Original und sieht auch so aus.
