Better than anticipated
I was expecting them to work, but I was surprised at the improvement in tuning stability. I was really able to give the tremolo bar an absurd amount of abuse and the strings were perfectly in tune. Small investment, big payoff. Easy to install if you have existing holes. Drilling a new hole is not particularly difficult, but drilling into a clean headstock requires a threshold of confidence.

Think First Before You Start
I feel so sorry for the people who left reviews saying the screws broke off in their headstock. There's no mandate to screw the tree tightly down onto the bushing. Be aware that if you're replacing a tree installed by Fender, their screw hole may be off-center. Then what are you going to do? Even though I got mine installed without incident, I still hear that tinkling sound, just like the OEM tree that came with the guitar. If I had to comment on improved tuning stability it would be positive. My guitar is setup perfectly and typically stays in tune. When I checked the tuning this morning it was only off by a few cents. Aggressive use of the vibrato has little effect on tuning. Overall, these trees do what they're supposed to do, which is to keep the strings in their nut slot. The most significant improvement is in appearance. They look far better than stock.

good
just a small observation - it's also possible to stack two cylinders to make one tall string tree. On my guitar (G&L ASAT) the normal height sting tree seemed too short, while the stacked tree was just right.

Why Pay More For "F" Branded Ones?
These are perfect for upgrading the cheap traditional wing retainers on "S-Style" guitars with vibrato/tremolo bars to reduce the friction. They are not actual rollers, as are some of the more expensive ones, but they are smooth and rounded enough where it should not make any difference. Screws are just the right length.

Good upgrade
This was a good upgrade to my Harley Benton ST-62. The original string retainers were a bit iffy and scratchy, but this is an inexpensive replacement that is of much better quality and is a drop-in (or rather screw-in) replacement.

Just as good as bulky roller stringtrees
I swapped these on my '98 USA Strat for the bulky Gรถldo roller stringtrees. Look more elegant and are so well made that there's no noticeable friction to be detected. Together with a Tusq nut they provide excellent tuning stability on my standard trem. Also put them on my Tele. Be aware that you might have to enlarge the mounting holes in your headstock a little.

It's great
Bought these to replace the string trees on my Harley Benton ST-Modern (non Plus). Had to drill larger holes, used a 2mm drill bit. These fixed the issue of strings getting caught while tuning or using the trem. You know the annoying "clicking" noise you get? That's gone!
Highly recommended!
