- The model 5 has a rounder rim and a slightly deeper cup than a standard 5G
- Consistent in all registers with many overtones in the middle register
- This mouthpiece was especially developed for solo trombonists
- Cup diameter: Ø 25.50 mm
- Throat: 7.11 mm
- The Deco version is heavier than the NY version
- The extra weight is ideal for large bass trombone mouthpieces, which can have thinner walls due to larger inner cup diameters
- It plays very freely and can deliver a bigger, darker sound than mouthpieces with less weight
- The Deco also provides stability, which can help define intermediate notes on the trombone where additional focus is needed
