Weiter so Harley Benton + Thomann!

Very good package
HB no 8 03.08.2026
Neck is super smooth, tuners are working as they should and the fretwork is good. In overall the build quality is superb.

It's not the cheapest option anymore but it definitely beats most (if not all) competitors in the same price range.

Harley Benton means business
Serban M 04.09.2026
I don't want to do an overly long review, as initially that's what I was thinking, so this will be just a semi-overly long review.

Wanted a metal guitar to use in Drop C. Didn't want to break the bank, as I am just a bedroom guitarist, and I already have 3 guitars. So HB was on the top of my list. Saw that this model was released recently, it look good on paper and omg, it is really good irl.

So, black matte finish that looks very cool. The neck also has an interesting matte finish, so basically 0 friction from your hand. Locking tuners are ok, not the best not the worst. Babicz bridge is actually really good. The pickups are interesting. Active but with passive feeling, plenty of output I'd say, but 81/85 have just a bit more output. The pickups alone cost like 200$. I don't feel like changing them anytime soon.

Plays incredible, sounds incredible, looks good.

The only con I have is that the access to the 22-24 frets is tricky though. Even 20-22 is slightly tricky. But I won't shred on this guitar, I'll mostly riff on it. And on this note, I don't think this is a shredder neck. If you are used to Wizard necks, this is far from it. It's 100% NOT baseball bat thick. But wanted the neck to be just a tiny bit thinner, something like 20-22, not 21-23mm, as I ain't also a fan of the 19mm Wizard necks. But neck will always be a preference thing.

All and all, HB means serious business. This is not just a good guitar for the price. It's a good guitar period. The era of cheap and good is here, and the era of expensive and mid will slowly fade away. A "branded" guitar with the same exact specs will go for at least double this price. And if I'm not mistaken, this model is made in Indonesia (might be wrong, double check that).

P.S.: The Fusion IV EMG has the same exact specs, released in the exact same time period. So everything I've said most likely apply to that as well, minus the higher fret access probably.

Gute Gitarre
Alire 14.08.2026
