Great sound, but slight QC issues
(Came back a month later to edit the initial review)
After a month of owning this guitar, when honeymoon period is over, I think I can finally be more or less objective.
I want to start from the things that didn't change for me at all. First of all, sound. I love these pickups, and the coil split sounds pretty good too. Warm, pleasant sound and enough headroom. I would say this is the best thing about this guitar.
Second, neck feels great and comfy. I love the shape and matte feeling of it.
Third, price. Even though this exact color was cheaper when I got it (now it's the same price as other colors), it's still good for the money.
Fourth, strap locks included. Nothing to add here, this is amazing to have to it.
Now, the things that I'm not a fan of:
1) Pickup switch is really wobbly in the center position.
2) Neck pickup volume knob is too stiff, and seems that it was installed a bit misaligned.
Surprisingly, bridge volume knob is fine.
3) Poor tuning stability. Seriously thinking about changing the tuning machines.
To summarize, if you know a good luthier and ready to pay more to fix the quality issues, it may worth it. I really love how this guitar sounds and feels (for the most part), just disappointed that such obvious quality issues weren't fixed before. Maybe I was just unlucky with this exact unit, but it doesn't change the fact that QC is poorer than I expected.
However, for the price it's still five starts, no doubt.
