Best guitar I've ever had
Diet Sodium 09.07.2026
First: I'm not a professional guitar player. I've been casually playing for around 20 years, but never considered guitar my first instrument. However, I've owned 4 electric guitars before getting this Harley Benton, and I can say for sure that this is definitely the best one in every aspect - look, feel, quality, sound, versatility.
1. Look. I like single cuts but don't like glossy finish and vintage estetique. Therefore I chose this one - satin finish, not too boring and overused color, no pickguard - overall looks pretty modern, which I like. The photos reflect the color and the overall look pretty good, so I didn't have that wow effect, but I gotta say - it looks damn nice.
2. Feel. Every part of the guitar feels exactly like it should. The neck is just perfect - not too thin, not too thick, just the right shape. Satin finish on the neck also feels amazing. If I had to chose a guitar with my eyes closed and just by touching it, this one would still be my choice.
3. Quality. Great setup, zero problems with frets, action is nice and low right from the box. I know a good luthier and I though I will have to visit him right after I get the guitar, but it seems totally unnecessary. If I knit pick - the pick-up switch could be stiffer, and the knobs - on the contrary - not so stiff (could be problematic to do volume swells). But this can be easily fixed, and doesn't seem like an issue.
4. Sound. Warm, lot of headroom. Sounds great both clean and overdriven. I know a lot of people buy this guitar for heavier stuff, but on a clean sound with the neck pickup and tone rolled off to ~10-15 percent it gives a great jazz sound.
5. Versatility. Partly covered above, but I also want to add that coil split also sounds good, making this guitar truly versatile.

At this point I really don't know how one would justify paying more money for an electric guitar. Knowing that another greedy company like Gibson or Fender (ugh) won't get my money is also great. Match it with Harley Benton Tube15 like me and you get a great rig for 500 bucks, shooting waaaay beyond the price.
