Put them on an old neck. Great tuners!
The good stuff! Nuff said. Thomann sells them. Get some.
Tune up and rock out.

Good budget replacements
Cheap tuners are part of the reason some basses are lower price. You cannot spend £300 and expect USA quality. Usually I would buy a set of Schaller tuners as they are my favourites but they are about £70-£80 delivered.
I recently picked up a cheap Squier and thought I would try the Kluson tuners to keep the cost down. They are quite good and keep the vintage look I was looking for. I still prefer my Schaller`s but for a budget bass, these do the trick fine.

Tuners ok, screws are very bad
The tuner mechanisms appear to be of good quality.
However, the screws are of very poor quality. If you want to buy these tuning mechanisms, you should also buy different screws. Three of the screw heads broke off when I used them. I had pre-drilled the holes. Two screws broke off before I could tighten them. One screw broke off while I was tightening it.
I am going to replace the screws because I don't trust that they will stay tight in the future.

Tuners are OK but screws way to fragile
I bought these tuners for an original Fender MiM neck. When mounting the tuners half the screws broke (head broke off) before it was fully tightened. Gave me a lot of extra work drilling out the metal and fitting new screws.
