K&M Thumbwheel 5/8"

This is such a simple and obvious component, so all that matters is the quality of the materials and manufacturing. Being K&M, both are very good. The threads are accurately cut into strong metal, not something soft, so if aligned properly you won't damage the threads. Poorly cut threads will catch when you try to use them, that doesn't happen with this. It's probably more durable than the threads on most mic stands. The finish lasts for many years without scratching or wearing off. There's not much more to say - for such a simple thing, at least they got it right!

A must in the toolbox of any stage technician and musician.

Since 5/8 thread is still widely used, those thumbwheels are a must. Too bad there's no choice except the K&M ones, and if they are not in stock... That's why I ordered 4 of these. Got 3 and some tiny plastic K&M part, but it's an honest mistake from Thomann's team, I'm sure. I will order a few more with my next order.

It would be nice if it had a larger diameter. In general, there can be several of them as a backup. Overall, very good quality.
