this new version produces a darker sound in general, and it allows easier connection to the altissimo range comparing to the signature.

The reed is very responsible and consistent. But the strength markings are not always right, to match the strength of you typical cane reed you have to by an at least 0.5 stronger Legere reed. The sound is a bit unnatural and it's hard to play really softly.
