Compared to previous Thump models, the v4 generation offers improved low-end performance, new voicing presets, and additional features such as Bluetooth streaming and app control. At the touch of a button
The Mackie Thump 12v4 reproduces audio from 39Hz, reaching a maximum sound pressure level of 129dB. On the rear of the 12.5kg speaker is a connection panel with two XLR/jack combo inputs – one for mic or line level, the other for line signals – along with a mono XLR output. Input levels are set using rotary controls, while DSP functions and Bluetooth can be accessed directly at the touch of a button. Built‑in voicing modes adapt the sound to typical applications such as live music, DJ sets or monitor use, making setup straightforward without additional adjustment. Additional features include a feedback eliminator, music ducking and an effective outdoor mode. Music can be streamed directly via Bluetooth, and the two speakers in this set can also be linked to one another wirelessly.

An easygoing all-rounder
The Mackie Thump 12v4 Stereo Stand Bundle is aimed at users who need straightforward sound reinforcement with solid low-end and high output. The sturdy, lightweight aluminium stands provide added flexibility. Singer-songwriters or duos can connect a microphone and an instrument directly to a single speaker, eliminating the need for an external mixer. The integrated voicing modes can be used to very good effect in a range of typical use cases: In Live mode, the midrange is emphasised to improve speech intelligibility, while DJ mode boosts the low frequencies. The Bluetooth connectivity is particularly useful for DJs, with both physical inputs remaining fully available at the same time. For presentations or spoken content, the feedback eliminator reduces unwanted feedback, and the built‑in ducking function automatically lowers music levels when a microphone signal is present.

About Mackie
In 1988 Greg Mackie, already a successful co-founder of a pro audio company, founded Mackie Designs Inc. with the goal of producing affordable, high-quality mixers. The company's first official product, the LM-1602 line mixer, was initially produced within the four walls of his home. As sales figures were encouraging, its successor model CR-1604 soon followed - and in 1991 the company finally moved into its first proper production facility. The combination of reliable quality and low prices quickly brought the company enormous success, so that by 1995 Mackie had already sold 100,000 products. In 2003, the company was renamed LOUD Audio, LLC so that there is no longer any confusion between the Mackie brand and its former parent company of the same name.
