Out of tune, but nice wooden sound
This flute is out of tune, as most wooden flutes in this price range are. Unless you are willing to pay more, I would go for a plastic flute instead. Sure, the sound is better on this one, but for me the tuning must be the first priority.

Simple wood recorder
This is the most affordable wood recorder I found, and I liked it. It is really another experience the contact with wood and the sound produced. It reminds me of childhood when it was common to see wooden flutes. This is one step in the direction of a better instrument.

A superior sound to plastic recorders
This is not a performance instrument, and for the price, why would you expect it to be? What it is is a far superior option to cheap plastic recorders, which sound cheap and plastic. It is a little out of tune, but less so after properly warming up, and only about as much as my plastic Aulos recorders.
For casual practice, this is a great instrument with a pleasant timbre.
It is a little more finicky than plastic recorders in the second octave, but still playable. Baroque fingering is an obvious positive and the supplied cleaning rod is up to the task, and does not shed fluff like others I have used.

Best 10 quid ever spent
It may be hard to get a clear sound out of the higher A and G but it plays a lot better than what I expected from a two-piece recorder around this price. Highly recommend it for a beginner.
