Millenium MD-100 Mobile Drum

I bought this kit to learn the basic of drums in my apartment and I'm very happy with it. The materials are of good quality and the meshes make it quiet in terms of loudness. I don't really use the internal sounds because I prefer to use EzDrummer to have more control. The sensitivity is quite good, but I tweak it a bit so I can have more range playing quieter. The worst part about the kit are the pedals, they are a bit awful to be honest. They are not firm, have no sensitivity and they are double triggered easily. However I guess they can be replaced for a better ones, but It wouldn't be difficult to just make a more decent ones. I recommend it, however take into account that you will probably have to buy additional pedal trigger

Before buying this I did a lot of research, checked out many hand drums and for the features (sounds, number of pads (4 Mesh!!), number of built-in kits and user kits, dedicated hand drum facility (which can be used on any kit), configurability, sample facility, built-in speakers which are decent and good for small jam sessions of acoustic gigs, and ability to plug into an amp to get a BIG sound, mounting on standard snare stand, and well,..it's beauty!) I kept coming back to this - I couldn't believe it had all that for a fraction of the price of other with less pads and features! I should have known with Millenium products you get a lot of bang for your buck! I got the MPS 750X (with extension) a couple of years back, and it blew me out of the water (it did with seasoned anti- e kits drummers too). So, when I saw the quality of the MD-100 and played around with it it really wasn't too much of a surprise. For me, the only negative with the MD-100 are the foot pedals. A bit of a let down (the reason for a 4 star on playability), apart from it would feel better with a drum kit style pedal, with the kick drum, there's no subtly like ghost notes; but once you get used to it, the hi-hat works very well and the kick does a pretty good job. All in all, it's well worth the money, great for jamming, practice and even gigs when you don't want to lug around a full size kit.

I have this for a year now.It was a christmas gift for my 4 years old son,so that our pans and pots could finally rest in peace.Its very well made,it has taken a constant beating for a year now,and it honestly hasn't got a scratch on it.My sons hits are all over the place,he hits the plastic,he hits the digital screen and occasionally the pads but this thing looks like new.So quality is a win.
It has enough sounds and features to be helpfull in a home studio situation,some drum kits are pretty decent and also the volume you get out of the speakers is more than enough for inside a house use.So overall sound and features for this price range are also a win.
Now the pedals...those things should be replaced as soon as possible.I understand that this package comes at a low price but those pedals ruin the overall experience of an otherwise great product.I replaced them with a couple of millenium hihat pedals and now I am very happy with the result.I would also recommend using sticks with nylon tips to protect the rubber pads.They haven't shown any signs of wear but I feel better using nylon instead of wood.
