Die Überschrift sagt eigentlich schon alles. :) Bin zufrieden, konnte meine alte 13er MAPEX ORION Tom damit reaktivieren. Die Halterung war abgebrochen. Die Querverbindungen lassen sich gut montieren. Allerdings war die Höhenverstellbarkeit zu gering, so dass ich die obere Querstrebe über dem Spannreifen befestigen musste. Gedacht ist eigentlich darunter. Funktioniert aber auch so tadellos. Sollte man einfach berücksichtigen, wenn man sich für den Optimount entscheidet. cheers

Ich habe sowohl eine 16“er Tom eines dw collectors als auch eines Pearl Masters (Rack-Montage) damit ausgestattet, nachdem ich alles andere freischwingende (RIMS alter und neuer Bauart, ISS, Optimount der günstigeren schwarzen Serie, usw) ausprobiert hatte.

Diese Halterung hat den unschlagbaren Vorteil, dass das Gewicht des Toms hauptsächlich von unten getragen wird, was definitiv eine wesentlich bessere Stimmbarkeit und -stabilität generiert, und außerdem, dass die Tom wesentlich weniger ausschwingt, da ja oben UND unten befestigt. Dies hatte mich bei den anderen Tomhalterungen deutlich gestört, da beim Spielen meine 16er Tom bedenklich bewegte :-)

Warum ich nicht die viel günstigere schwarze Optimount Halterung genommen habe, sondern diese, ist Geschmackssache; ich mag die sehr angenehme Haptik von qualitativ hochwertigen Chrom einfach lieber als dünneres schwarzes Blech, und sorry - ja, es macht halt auch optisch etwas mehr her. Die Stabilität ist aber wahrscheinlich dieselbe.
