Songwriting leicht gemacht

Als Keyboarder suchte ich nach Unterstützung für das Songwriting und eine einfache Möglichkeit, verschiedene Chord Progressions in Kombination mit unterschiedlichen Genres (Pop, Jazz, etc.) rasch auszuprobieren. Mit Band in a box habe ich genau das gefunden. Die Software ist eigentlich ein Ersatz für ein Keyboard mit Begleitautomatik, aber braucht keinen Platz und ist eigentlich sehr günstig. Ich habe die Version auf USB Stick bestellt, man bekommt da auch einen coolen Anhänger dazu.
Die Installation am Mac war in 5 Minuten erledigt und nach weiteren 5 Minuten habe ich schon die ersten Chords abspielen lassen. Die Basisfunktionen sind sehr einfach und intuitiv zu bedienen, was mir eigentlich genügen würde. Anderseits bin ich jetzt aber neugierig geworden und will wissen, was noch in der Box steckt. Suchtfaktor!
Ich verwende neben dem Mac ein Presonus Studio 24c und das klingt schon sehr gut, mit der internen Soundkarte habe ich es nicht probiert.
Einziger Nachteil: um alles zu installieren braucht man viel Platz. Mein Mac mit 250GB ist da schon am Limit. Zur Not kann man aber auch mit externer HD arbeiten.
Fazit: schnell installiert, Basisfunktionen sehr einfach, macht Spaß - gute Anleitungen für den Anfang gibt es jede Menge auf YT.
