Fantastic Pickup
Anonymous 31.03.2017
Bought this to replace a Duncan Design in my MIJ Jackson Kelly.

This is the Trembucker spaced version of the SH-5 designed for guitars equipped for Tremolo bridges.

This pickup is equipped with a ceramic magnet with a boost to the Bass and slightly higher boost to the Treble, the mids take a slight dip.

As a caveat I play metal so this review is based on that.

My current rig is an Engl Rock master with a TS-9 as a boost.

Whilst it hasn't the output of the JB or distortion it is perfectly suited to metal. To me it has a slightly better clarity to the notes both single notes and chords. To me there is a bit more life to the notes compared to other pickups I've used (JB, Distortion, EMG 81).

Overall it is fairly well balanced and responds well to the picking hand. Its still early days with this pick up but so far its a massive improvement to the guitar and a fits in well to the sound I'm after

Is volgens mij één van de beste pickups op de markt zowel clean als distorted . Ook de splitcoil klinkt fantastisch.

Punch with shredding clarity

This pickup is ideal for high gain, both for rhythmic & solo.
I have it installed on bridge position with Schaller Floyd Rose style bridge and it gives loads of sustain.

Very good pickup

Very clear and clean pickup sound with bunch of harmonics. You easily get that squeal out of it, like a whale calling. Very close sound to Van Halen.
