Showtec QFX Multi FX Compact Light Set

This set of lights does not put out much light in comparison to a set of washes, it is not designed for this purpose more as a set of party lights for a D.J but bear in mind if you plan on pairing with a set of par washes on either side of the stage one side will not be as well lit. I had some issues with the quality as well, there is a small set of keys needed to operate the laser function, thee keys are made of a very soft metal and I ended up breaking both of these keys and am now unable to use the laser function, this could definelty improved in future. Other than this the lights work very well, I run them with a stairville dmx mixer and have not had any issues with this. I haven't tried the foot controller but it looks sturdy and well made, the case for the lights has also lasted quite well and the stand that the lights came with is fairly robust, I have had to tighten some of the screws but for a budget stand it does the job and comes with a handy little stand bag.

I use this bar for parties and small DJ gigs. I'm a first time DJ and the relatively low price point is a huge plus! It's absolutely brilliant, the light output is great and high quality. I really like the sound to light feature, it makes life a whole lot easier.

Pros;
- Great light output;
- Good quality build;
- Auto and Sound to Light modes are excellent;
- Easy to transport in carry case.

Cons;
- Mic isn't overly sensitive (even with sensitivity dial);
- If you want it for a large venue then you'll need at least two;
- IR remote doesn't always work?!

Overall, for a first light purchase this is excellent and very easy to use / setup. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone!
