Basically happy with it
Upgraded from mkII and this is a really a leap forward in every way. I particularly enjoy that I can now use plugins from UAD and Fabfilter with the mkIII.
The reason I only give 4 stars for handling is the lack of a stand to get the console at a steeper angle. It is possible to attach it to a video monitor suspension arm, but I want it to stand on the table not hang in the air. I actually think Softube ought to provide a stand as and add-on.
At the moment there are things in the software that has to be improved, but Softube is obviously developing the software continuously.

A huge step up
Coming from the MK2 this is a huge step up. Build quality is fantastic. Feel of the knobs is much more natural.
I was surprised at how useful the small screens were - on the MK2 I would keep the plugin window open but with this there is no need. I can quickly see gain reduction and EQ curves etc easily.
Only negative I’d say is the large price rise compared to the previous version.

Will change the way you make music
In a world flooded with plugins - This got me back to making music. I changed my workflow where the console 1 is at the heart. I only use the Console 1 Plugin in my template. My Daw is now only a tape machine. I can focus on music and not plugin Gui's. If I need to adjust something - The console is already active on my selected track, and I can just turn the knobs.
