Yeah what can I say?? It does the job, very well. It's small, it's light and very easy to set up. The only down side is it doesn't like being in the middle of the DMX chain. Put it on the end of the chain. Speaking to some of my lighting mates they have found this with other models and some top of the range smokers. but Hey guys it's really very good.

Small, simple and.. WOW, DMX!
This Fog Machine is very small, simple and durable. The size is optimal for all mobile solutions. The remote controller has a simple on/ off-button for simple usage, but the DMX-function makes this fogger useable to all venues/ theaters/ discos as a fog machine or cheap hazer. 1 channel DMX provides a steeples controlling of fog output and the dip-switches provides a simple setting of channel. Maximal fog output is not satisfying for a 400w fogger, but instead providing a uninterrupted operation with no need for rewarming or pauses. No complicated menus or useless functions, just a simple fogger, simple connections with a robust feeling and continuous operation.

This is a great little fog machine and does the job in small to medium sized venues. Let's face it, you only really need to fog the stage and lighting area and maybe some of the front of house. This little machine will provide more than you need and possibly even more than that. I've used this unit in many different situations and can honestly say I'm very happy with it. It is simple to operate via the switch that comes with it, or you can use it via DMX on its own address. It heats up quickly too, so no hanging around.

Stairville AF-40 DMX Mini Fog Machine - Absolutely must have....
Great smoke machine.
Actually not that small at all. I had a different one before and the Stairville AF-40 DMX Mini Fog Machine is defiantly step up....
Very fast feeling the room with smoke, even good for using outside.
I use it for a Halloween party and was absolutely amazing.
Highly recommended.

Perfect for small stages
We bought this machine with my band to use it in small stages where we have to carry our own service material and it was perfect!
Can be used both indoor and outdoor, in small stages it lasts enought not to refill the tank.
Sure it's more than enough for a 6x6m stage.
Light, easy tu use and carry, can also be connected to a dmx unit for external control, otherwise you can gust use the included remote control.

Small and Quiet
Many small smoke machines make alot of noise, but once primed, this was very quiet, really pleased :-)

If it was reliable it would be 5 stars best buy foger!!
For the price and the DMX function you cant beat this machine. I have used it for 1hour and it was perfect for the job. It is not super strong but for 400 W and with super heavy Starville fog it was enough for 100-150 people and LED show. But, unfortunately it stopped working after 1 hour use. Solenoid pump gave up. Thomann team was super professional as always with replacement/refund. I don't trust this machine and will never buy it again because of reliability issue.

After 2 years, considerate rust all around the chassi, including internally, will destroy itself over time.
Pump clogging after a few uses.
If you plan to use this for rentals or make any type of money using it, do not buy it. I dont know which to recommend, but not this one.

Great for the price.
I didn't expect much for something so cheap, but this has exceeded expectations. The fog is more than ample for bar gigs or small clubs. And it takes up very little space on stage.
Being able to trigger it by DMX is a nice bonus.
