Home studio love
Unit works great for home studio applications where you want to connect your monitors and some consumer grade speakers.
Switching between them to test your mix works flawlessly. Bare in mind that volume control is not reset on switching or remembered in anyway. You have to adjust loudness on your speakers (if possible).
Another great feature is the mono button. Great workflow speedup when you need to check if you have any weird cancellation frequencies in your mixes.
Last, you have mute and 2 inputs buttons which is also great to have at hand, not needing to click trough DAW ...

First pasive atenuator i ever used and it looks impressive. Quality finish , added as stiker to make the volume mark a bit more visible in the dark. Had some sound artefacts while runing cheap monitors + subwoofer trough it, probably my setups fault. Currently using it as a subwoofer volume and it works superbly.

Great passive monitor controller
I am using it at my home studio with 2 different pair of studio monitors.
It works perfectly. This little controller comes with a plenty of options to route 2 different inputs towards 2 different outputs. I like a lot that the output selection is not an A/B switch. You can listen the input (A/B) in both outputs.
The quality is fair enough for the price. The big knob is comfortable and smooth. Very easy to work with this metal and wood housing controller.
I am missing only some led indicator for the input and output.
Good value for money!!

bad components inside
Works fine for one year, then the volume knob starts making noise when used (nothing critical). But after two years, the buttons become overly sensitive (probably due to a bad internal connection), to the point where the left or right audio signal randomly cuts out while listening. You have to gently tap the buttons to restore a proper connection.
I had exactly the same item two years ago with the same issues.
I definitely will not buy it for the third time. 😆

Swissonic M-Control
Does what it claims on the box, nice tidy little unit, sturdy build that'll last a lifetime if cared for.
It does take a high output signal from your audio interface in order for it to drive your monitors, initially I thought it wasn't working but once I set full volume output from my interface everything feel into place and worked as it should.
Very happy with the Low priced M-Control and thanks to all at Thomann for the hassle free and excellent service.

Volume knob switcher
Palmer knob was better … literally a better knob, less plastic less cheap feel, did not rub on metal case. Output seems far quieter than output from palmer into Adam a7x no idea why?
But it does work so not completely slating just underwhelmed
The palmer was not without eventual fault on the headphone output socket as fyi

Couldn’t be happier
Needed something to control the volume of my studio monitors, as having to do it for each speaker was getting tedious. Got in touch with an advisor to ensure it would suit my set up, the rep was very helpful and informative. Made the purchase on a Friday afternoon, and received the controller on Wednesday (Germany to Ireland). Set up was easy, and the result is fantastic. A simple and stylish solution, that I’m delighted with. Definitely recommend!

They are great! they do the job
nothing to say here.
quality isn't ruined or anything like that.
just wish we had a volume controller for each output.

Every part of this device broke
First the volume knob became scratchy and I have to move it around a bit or a channel drops out. Then the Mono button became unreliable and finally stopped working. After that the Mute button had the same fate. Now the input switching button is starting to fail. The unit was treated carefully and never even moved. I can't believe how atrocious the build quality is and how every single button and knob on this thing is either broken or nearly broken.
