I got this weight originally on my original Tama Iron Cobra pedal, and decided to buy another for another drum beater.
Once tightened, it never lets loose, it doesn't wear, it doesn't damage the beater stick.
And it's still cheap.

Simple & effective
My Iron Cobra pedal was supplied without a balancer so I purchased the BC7.
The balancer is simple to use and position and it only took a few minutes to find the 'sweet spot' with a variety of beaters.
