The Grand Symphony Builders Edition features Taylor V-Class bracing, which provides higher volume, extended sustain and improved intonation; rosewood back and sides give the guitar deep basses and brilliance in the trebles. The Lutz spruce top, together with the short scale, supports the dynamics, while the soundport cutaway provides a spatial, reverb-like effect. The pickup is Taylor's own active ES2 dynamic piezo system with bass, treble and volume controls.
