With its two-way design, comprising a 12" woofer and 1" compression driver, each the box pro DSX 112 is an active full-range loudspeaker that can produce an immense 500W RMS. Its Class D power amp can produce an extraordinarily high sound pressure level (SPL) of 128dB, with a frequency range going all the way from the very deep 50Hz to an impressive 19kHz, almost at the upper limit of human hearing, meaning that sometimes a dedicated bass speaker isn't even necessary. The loudspeaker can always be adjusted for optimum settings, with a wealth of configuration options that are all accessible via the internal DSP's backlit display. The DSX 112's combination of power and DSP features really make it stand out in this price category.

Helpful DSP features

Each flexible the box pro DSX 112 unit has two adjustable inputs in XLR/jack combo format, and there is also a 3.5mm mini-jack to act as an AUX input. The XLR output, on the other hand, serves as a thru to pass on the line audio signal. The device's DSP offers – alongside the digital stero levels on the display – a number of internal audio processing features: There are four presets for the Music, Live, Voice, and DJ settings, alongside which a three-band equaliser makes it easy to individualise the sound settings. If the box pro DSX 112 is being used with subwoofers, there is also the option of activating the low cut filter.

It's not just pro sound engineers and battle-hardened roadies who will be able to make best use of the DSX 112: Because it's both simple to work with and easily transportable, it's very much a flexible and undemanding operator. The enclosure is admittedly not light, weighing in at just under 20kg, but the immensely robust wooden construction means it's ideally suited to life on the road. Thanks to the 35mm stand flange, the DSX 112 can also be mounted on a speaker stand, although the speaker can also be used simply standing up vertically or as a horizontal monitor wedge, while the carrying handles on the sides make it easy to move around.

Vocals, monitor, mini PA – all in one

Hell, yeah!!!

This speakers sounds amazingly loud (bought 2 pieces)! My use case for it will be side sound in sports events and monitors for small bands. Not done real field testing yet, but in my backyard they sounded great! We will see, how they perform in long term, but yes, in therms of my needs, they are just perfect!
But now about minuses... Build quality is solid and strong, but in terms of finishing... Grille screws are screwed in crookedly, one grille was bent (package was intact, so this is manufacture error)... Coating quality in some places could be better... But it is nothing critical, because, if you by those speakers as monitors or backup sound, it is nothing. But if you want them as your front sound and want your setup to look amazing, choose more expensive speakers.
But, thank you, Thomann, for such cheap and in the same time great sounding speaker! I really like them!

The speakers themselves lack a couple of handy options that higher end systems have but nothing that cant be fixed with a decent mixer. all in all a great product. highly recommend

I love the sound

I am a mobile Dj and I needed to upgrade my PA system from passive to active system but I don’t have much money to invest on it so I decided for something cheap and hope for good. I am very happy I choose right, The box pro dxs collection is awesome, too cheap for the sound it produces, the quality is amazing, the two down side of it is firstly the size is too big and secondly the sound output from the back of all the four that I have are not working but that’s alright with me.
