the box Six Mix Eight

I usually use a " the box pa108" with a 4 chanel macie mixer.
Works great and plenty loud for most bars on my list.
I saw this online and decided this 6 mix 8 would save all the wiring and carrying ,being mixer and speaker all in one.
But not to be, as, either weak preamps, or low tranformer output makes this unit so very quiet. Plus the signal limiter is set very hard and stops guitar or mic sgnals long before it should. I never got round to trying the MP3.
I usually expect top performance from Thomann gear, as always in the past.
This concept is superb, but too cheaply made and certainly not up to performers requirements.
A good try Thomann, maybe an upgrade is neexed on this unit.

Was disappointed with this on the first try, seemed very weak power wise. After many attempts at various set ups from my keyboard, just as I was about to put it back in the box to return, I tried one stereo lead out of the mono/left of keyboard and this worked, no distortion no weakness. (Previous attempts were all from stereo outputs). MP3 from Bluetooth very weak, but again better when using a direct line into the box. (Hope that makes sense, not sure I’m using the correct terminology). I did try the digital effects which are basic but useable, however I use a mic through the keyboard so that won’t effect me. I will be using it for rehearsal and church. Overall, I think it matches the low price.
