Sounds good, looks good...
It's been a long time since I owned a jumbo EKO 12 string guitar. That was a monster, but it had a big sound. After thinking about it for a long time, with my wife repeating, "What do you need another guitar for?" I took the plunge and opted for the Yamaha.
I must confess that it was the compact size that fell for, and I did not expect it to sound as full as my EKO. It doesn't, of course, but it is a joy, and much easier, to play - with quite a low action. The built in tuner is a very useful bonus. The sound (using a D tuning) is better than I anticipated and it is a beautifully finished off instrument.
My only negative comment relates to the strap buttons. I usually use the locking clip nuts to hold the strap on safely. I had no realised that the jack socket went through the button. With a thickish leather strap, I had to use a set of rubber washers over the top of the strap to hold it on the buttons securely.
In summary, an excellent guitar that sounds bigger than it looks. Although not a regular performer any more, I wish I had bought it earlier.

I play for personal enjoyment in my home, occasionally with family members. Country, folk and gospel are my usual genres. The 12 string Yamaha is a beautiful sounding guitar, rich and warm tone with very good electrics/tuner installed. Not as large, or bulky! as a dreadnaught it is very comfortable to hold. High quality finish, easy play fretboard. Liked everything about it. Would highly recommend. Safe and secure delivery from Thomann all the way to north of England.
