Yamaha FG800 Sand Burst

I am an experienced guitar player for more than 25 years.With that said I wanted a guitar that I could record easy because I also own all solid wood guitars that are very hard to record on a not perfectly treated room due to the lush overtones that they produce. This guitar was out of the box perfectly set up and it is one of the easiest to play acoustics that I have ever played .I do recommend it to any beginner for that reason alone! Now for the sound .The low's mid's and high's are well balanced .Do not expect overtones that you hear when you play a solid wood guitar but this makes it a great guitar for singing along. Strangely , it is nothing special ,but it delivers exactly what it promises! A guitar that you can play easy ,sound good and do some recording. Any upgrade from this would be chasing a more complex sound because everything else is perfect on this one!
