Some of the Best Monitors in the Price Range
Schengis, 24.06.2019
Having been in dozens of home studios and also several multi-million-dollar recording studios, I've heard a very wide variety of quality in monitors from the worst of the worst to the best of the best. Adam is a staple in many larger studios, but, as you can see even in Thomann's catalogue, they never really produced models in this price range before (the next model up for this size is over double the price).

So, after shopping for months and months and trying out every set of monitors I could, I settled (happily) on the Adam A7V. I even drove to Thomann to sample these monitors against their more expensive competitors, and they simply blow away their competition. Side-to-side comparisons with almost every other monitor showed me just how pure and balanced the sound from these was, and the manual adjustment switches let you customize it to match your room's acoustics.

Pros:
- Simply unbeatable sound quality for this price range
- Ear fatigue is a non-issue
- Balanced and Unbalanced connections and manual correction

Cons:
- Easy to forget to turn off (power LED indicator is on the back)
Honestly, I can't think of another bad thing about them!

Sounds like it should cost a lot more than it does.
Radio Engineer, 19.07.2018
I bought a pair of these monitors as replacements for my KRK Rokit 8 Gen 1s. The difference in sound quality really is very impressive. The T7Vs sound accurate, controlled and extremely detailed, allowing you to hear absolutely everything in your mix.

The signature Adam tweeter gives you the distinctive 'silky' highs, and the woofer delivers tight and accurate bass. The mid-range detail is superb. Placement of sounds on the stereo sound stage is rock solid, with a clear phantom center. I could not hear any unnatural lumps or dips in the frequency response.

They really can easily compete with much more expensive speakers. I had that experience of being able to hear things that I could not hear before with my KRKs (and they even appeared to beat my AKG headphones for detail). At work I use Neumann and Genelec speakers, and these really do compare favorably with those top end models.

Build quality is excellent as far as I can tell.

Downsides? Well these do a great job on the bass, but you may want to add a sub if you work primarily on bass-centric music and want to hear the ultra low end clearly.

The bass and treble room correction EQ controls are quite rudimentary; you don't get any of the advanced correction features of higher end monitors. Not a problem for me, but if your room requires lots of correction then you may want to consider different models.

I didn't have any problems with the rear bass reflex port, but some users may experience issues if they have to place these speakers very close to a wall.

In short, top-end monitors for a low-end price.
