Together with our Audix 6 pieces drum kit, it does its work well.
It is hard enough to rest in the position you like without moving even in the hardest beats.
Moreover it fits the mic case so we don't need extra place.

As I was searching for a way to cover both, flexibility concerning positioning of the mics and sturdy design on the other hand, I `ve come across the "Audix D Clamp" which is equipped with both of the above requirements. While the design of the clamp is quite solid and the components have quite a very strong hold onto each other it comes with an extraordinary flexibility in view to the various possibilities of positioning a mic over a not specified drum. Initially i bought it for miking my conga but learned that it would be also suitable on my drum set and am very happy with it eversince....very versatile gedget!

Very well made piece of kit with very high quality clamp mechanism and jaw that firmly attaches in a range of situations.
Excellent as a Drum mic support and I?ve also used it in unusual studio situations where you need something ?a bit different? to get the exact mic placement you?re after.
All in all well worth the money.
